TUM-VIE is an event camera dataset for developing 3D perception and navigation algorithms. It contains handheld and head-mounted sequences in indoor and outdoor environments with rapid motion during sports and high dynamic range. TUM-VIE includes challenging sequences where state-of-the art VIO fails or results in large drift. Hence, it can help to push the boundary on event-based visual-inertial algorithms.
The dataset used in the paper is the TUM-VIE dataset, which contains a stereo visual-inertial event dataset.

The global Vacuum Insulated Evaporator (VIE) market size was valued at approximately USD 1.5 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach around USD 2.8 billion by 2032, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.2% over the forecast period. The growth of this market can be attributed to the rising demand for efficient and cost-effective solutions for the storage and vaporization of liquefied gases across various industries.
One of the primary growth factors for the VIE market is the increasing utilization of industrial gases in sectors such as healthcare, food and beverage, energy, electronics, and petrochemicals. The expanding applications of industrial gases, driven by advancements in technology and industrial processes, are necessitating enhanced storage and vaporization solutions. VIEs, with their superior insulation properties and efficiency, are becoming the preferred choice over traditional evaporators. This trend is expected to continue as industries seek to optimize their operations and reduce energy consumption.
Another significant factor contributing to the market growth is the burgeoning demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The global push towards sustainable and environmentally-friendly energy sources is propelling the adoption of LNG, which in turn is driving the demand for efficient evaporators like VIEs. Additionally, the increasing number of LNG production facilities and the expansion of LNG distribution networks are further bolstering the growth of the VIE market. The LNG segment is expected to witness substantial growth, providing lucrative opportunities for VIE manufacturers.
The healthcare sector is also playing a pivotal role in the expansion of the VIE market. The growing need for medical gases, such as oxygen, nitrogen, and nitrous oxide, in various medical applications is driving the demand for reliable and efficient storage and vaporization solutions. VIEs offer the necessary stability and efficiency required in medical environments, ensuring the safe and consistent supply of medical gases. As the healthcare industry continues to grow, particularly in emerging economies, the demand for VIEs is expected to rise significantly.
Regionally, the Asia Pacific region is anticipated to exhibit the fastest growth in the VIE market. This can be attributed to the rapid industrialization and urbanization in countries like China, India, and Southeast Asian nations. The increasing industrial activities, coupled with the rising investments in infrastructure development, are driving the demand for industrial gases and LNG in the region. Furthermore, the favorable government policies promoting the use of cleaner energy sources are augmenting the growth of the VIE market in Asia Pacific. Regions like North America and Europe are also expected to witness significant growth, driven by the established industries and ongoing technological advancements.
In the context of the Vacuum Insulated Evaporator market, the integration of advanced technologies such as the In Situ Cold Trap is becoming increasingly relevant. This technology is particularly beneficial in applications where the purity of gases is critical, such as in the healthcare and electronics sectors. The In Situ Cold Trap effectively captures and removes impurities from gases during the vaporization process, ensuring that the end product meets the stringent quality standards required in these industries. As the demand for high-purity gases continues to rise, the adoption of In Situ Cold Trap technology is expected to grow, offering enhanced performance and reliability in VIE systems.
In the Vacuum Insulated Evaporator market, the segmentation by product type includes Vertical VIE and Horizontal VIE. The Vertical VIE segment holds a significant share in the market. This dominance can be attributed to the compact design and space-saving benefits offered by Vertical VIEs, making them suitable for various industrial applications. Vertical VIEs are particularly favored in industries with limited floor space but require efficient storage and vaporization of liquefied gases. Their ability to deliver high performance and reliability makes them a preferred choice across multiple sectors.
Horizontal VIEs, on the other hand, are gaining traction due to their enhanced stability and ease of maintenance. These evaporators are

Interest in organic and environmentally friendly products among people in France seems to be reflected in the evolution of the number of stores of the La Vie Claire company, specialized in the retailing of organic products. Indeed, this number has gradually increased over the last few years: there were 324 retail stores in 2017, compared to 366 two years later.

Animals are often difficult to distinguish at an individual level, but being able to identify individuals can be crucial in ecological or behavioral studies. In response to this challenge, biologists have developed a range of marking (tattoos, brands, toe-clips) and tagging (PIT, VIA, VIE) methods to identify individuals and cohorts. Animals with complex life cycles are notoriously hard to mark because of the distortion or loss of the tag across metamorphosis. In frogs, few studies have attempted larval tagging and none have been conducted on a tropical species. Here, we present the first successful account of VIE tagging in early larval stages (Gosner stage 25) of the dyeing poison frog (Dendrobates tinctorius) coupled with a novel anaesthetic (2-PHE) application for tadpoles that does not require buffering. Mean weight of individuals at time of tagging was 0.12g, which is the smallest and developmentally youngest anuran larvae tagged to date. We report 81% tag detection over the first month of development, as well as the persistence of tags across metamorphosis in this species. Cumulative tag retention versus tag observation differed by approximately 15% across larval development demonstrating that “lost” tags can be found later in development. Tagging had no effect on tadpole growth rate or survival. Successful application of VIE tags on D. tinctorius tadpoles introduces a new method that can be applied to better understand early life development and dispersal in various tropical species.
